Community Update No. 15
October 9, 2025
Dear Perkins-sur-le-Lac neighbours,
Just in time for the long weekend, we are very excited to announce the opening of a new 60-90 minute trail on the 215 acre lot leased by CPSLL. This loop trail is on the west side of Ruisseau Carroll, with entrances on Chemin du Chêne Rouge (left side of the bridge) or starting at the logging road on Carouges (you will see our sign to enter the woods half way up the logging road).
The beautiful 30-45 min trail on the east side of Ruisseau Carroll is also open for use. Entrance is on the right side of the bridge on Chemin du Chêne Rouge.
We are still accepting pledges for the purchase of the 17 acres at 673 Blackburn, and the trails there are open for use. Remember - every bit counts and charitable donations made before December 31st are eligible for a 2025 tax deduction, or can be split over different tax years.
If you would like to be a member of a trail maintenance committee, please write to us and specify which one.
To use the trails you must be a member of CPSLL. Membership fees are used for carrying costs, including: biological studies, lease payments, trail making costs, legal expenses, etc. To make a donation or become a member, visit our website. Please let us know if you have any questions and enjoy the trails!
Note: CPSLL trails have been designed for low impact activities with conservation in mind. They are maintained by volunteers so please move carefully and do stay on the trails. Please pick up after your pets - this is key to maintaining a healthy environment for the wildlife. Finally, don't forget to practice tick protocols.
Please remember that you must be a member of CPSLL in order to use the trails. You can easily join here . If you would like to help build and maintain trails, please contact Justine Akman at justineakman@gmail.com justineakman@gmail.com.
